Anglophone Crisis: Does government fear Moja Moja or ally?

The agitative Chief of the Bwassa People in Fako Division, Southwest Region, Chief Eko Ewome A.K.A Moja Moja has been enigmatic and been most controversial amongst all Southwest, Fako elites.

The man himself rubbishes laws, tramples human rights, spits out genocidal propaganda amongst other things, and somehow he still manages to walk free and unperturbed.

Chief Moja Moja’s infamous war against the Northwesteners in the Southwest Region has exposed the government’s secret agenda as the crisis persists. Not only has the government completely ignored the antics and hostilities shown towards the Grassfield population by Moja Moja, but has boosted and normalised his yearnings for revenge and public show of disgustful tribalism and genocide.

Not once, not twice, not thrice, Chief Moja keeps doing it over and over. His propaganda videos are all over the social media in which he often publicly calls for the extermination of the Northwest citizens from the Southwest, as he claims they are responsible for all attrocities committed by the Ambazonian Fighters.

To Moja Moja as well, all Ambazonian Fighters in the Southwest Region are from the Northwest.

Judging from his actions and government’s blind eye, many are of the opinion that he may be a special protegee of the state, meant to sow division within the Anglophones of the Northwest and the Southwest Regions.

During the Prime Minister’s visit to the Southwest Region, the spotlight was on what the Prime Minister would say or do concerning the antics of the agitative Chief. In a rather casual meeting filled with smiles and laughter, PM Dion Ngute told Chief Moja Moja “We like what you are doing for your people, but it is the means which you use that should change…”.

Chief Eko Ewome has not backed down since then. The seemingly ‘Untouchable Jewel of the State’ persists on his rampage and public show of defiance for star laws and propagation of fake patriotism.

For how long will it last?
