Anglophone Crisis: Fru Ndi Calls on Separatist Fighters to drop arms, embrace peace

By Soulemanu Buba

The National Chairman of Cameroon’s leading oposition political party, the Social Democratic Front, SDF has said those fighting to create a country called Ambazonia are doing so on three fronts.

Ni John Fru Ndi was speaking Wednesday December 28 2022 during a presser at his Ntarikon residence in Bamenda of the restive Northwest region of Cameroon.

The SDF Chair said:
“Those fighting for independence are fighting on three fronts. They are fighting against themselves because we have seen them killing themselves.”

Secondly, Ni John Fru Ndi added that: “they have turned their guns against the population killing and kidnapping some for ransom.”

And finally: “they are fighting the army,” he concluded.

He decried the killings saying those dying are young and energetic youths who could have contributed enormously to build Cameroon.

He appealed to them to leave the bushes and come out so that together they can better the lives of Cameroonians.

One thing that many of his militants who were also part of the meeting with the media said Fru Ndi avoided was the word “Dialogue” as a way out of the crisis.
