A young man is currently responding to treatment in a health facility in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon — after uniform officers inflicted wounds on his legs and under his feet.

According to a witness, the boy was returning from Bali on Saturday when they were stopped at Mile 90, Nsongwa by the military.

They were asked to identify themselves but only the boy had an identity card.

“They were then asked to sit on the tar and after some minutes, the biker got up and started running after they were asked to pay some money,” our source narrates.

“The uniform men chased and shot at him but he manage to escape… They then fell on the guy and got him well beaten, inflicting cuts on his legs and under his feet.”

He was later taken to the air port at Mile 8 Mankon, in Bamenda where he was abandoned in a room.

Thanks to the fact that he could speak French, he spoke to one of the officers that was on duty explaining to him what happend.

The uniform officer then asked those who brought him to take him to the hospital.

“As if that was not enough they also removed all the money he had in his wallet,” stated our source.
