Sons and daughters of Bambalang, Ngoketunjia Division of the North West region resident in Bamenda have expressed the need for their Fon to construct a cultural hall where the people can meet and for peace to return to the village for development to be fostered.
They raised this and other security concerns to their fon, Fon Kelvin Yakum as he ended his contact tour to some regions of the country in Bamenda to bring the message of peace to his people.
Fon Kelvin Yakum says his tour across the 10 regions of the country had one objective to talk peace and reconciliation at all levels.
“The feedback I have been getting from the village since I began this tour has been positive. The message has gone deep into the people and we have listened to them talk, ” he said.
“All of them have expressed their satisfaction and their willingness to work for the return of peace”, Fon Yakum said.
The ruler of the Bambalang people discloses that he is ready to hold dialogue sessions with separatist fighters in his village to see to the return of peace.
