Anglophone Crisis: Separatists kill One Council worker, two bike riders in Fundong

Separatist Ambazonia fighters have shot death three people in Fundong, Boyo Division of the restive North West Region of Cameroon.

They were killed Sunday night April 10, 2023.

One of those shot identified as Anjanga Oliver is said to be a worker of Fundong Council and a youth leader.

Two others said to be commercial bike riders were also identified as Desmond and Ngong Fabiola.

A source in Fundong told Mimi Mefo Info that, Desmond and Ngong died on the spot, while the third victim died after being rushed to the Njinikom District Hospital.

“Amba boys entered our town and shot three people-two bike riders and one Youth leader. This incident happened around 11:00 pm while people were still celebrating Easter,” our source added MMI.

Sources say Oliver was targeted while the two others were caught by a stray bullets.

“They were standing beside the Youth leader and were about buying something in a store near the grandstand before being caught by bullets.”

The youth leader report says has been a target since he survived a separatist attack in 2018.

“This man was wanted because he is working with Fundong Council ,” the source said adding that, “He was first shot in 2018 and since then he could not go close to them.”
