Anglophone Crisis: Three soldiers killed in Ekok by suspected separatists

Three government soldiers have reportedly been killed by suspected Separatist fighters, sources in Ekok near Mamfe, in Manyu, South West Region of Cameroon have told MMI.

At a mixed control post in Ekok, Inspector of Police Foungandi Appolinaire, Ndomo Ferdinand Serge, and Mvodo were shot on Monday, July 24, 2023.

The attackers took away weapons and ammunition.

Security personnel transported their bodies out of the area on Monday.

Thousands of soldiers, Separatists, and civilians have been killed since the start of the conflict in 2016, but for several months now, the government has not released figures for the casualties on the ground.
