Anglophone Crisis:
Footballer Arrested Four Years Ago Remains Unaccounted For

Ayim Sali Presely, a 31-year-old footballer is yet to be seen almost 4 years after he was arbitrarily taken by defense forces in the South West Region.

His relatives say he was taken by a group of elements from the Rapid Intervention Battalion in 2018, opposite Parliamenji Hotel in Mile 4 Limbe.

At the time of his arrest in Limbe, Ayim Presley had stepped out of home then, to have some relaxation time away from his footballing activities.

He was taken alongside his roommates, who have since then been freed but not him.

The purpose for Presley’s arrest to this day has never been released, nor has he been seen since then.

Various searches have equally been carried out in the different detention centers of the South West Region, but he still can not be found in them.

Ayim Presley’s relatives have remained restless ever since he was taken away by the BIR. They are optimistic that he could have done nothing wrong to warrant him being unjustly taken and kept incommunicado for close to 4 years.
