Announced Kamto protest: CPDM plans counter manifestation in Douala

The youth wing of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement , YCPDM at Douala 2 sub division has announced a counter manifestation for Tuesday September 22nd 2020.

In a release published Wednesday September 16th 2020 and signed by the president of YCPDM Zang Zang Charles Elie, the manifestation is patriotic and republican to denounce those who want to overthrow democratically elected people in Cameroon.

“We the youths of the CPDM at Douala 2 will demonstrate to defend our sub division and and Douala as a whole from the hands of some individuals who want to cause chaos.”

The declaration has been deposited at the office of the sub divisional officer at Douala 2 pending approval. Copies have been forwarded to the governor of the Littoral, parliamentary of Wouri South,SDO of Wouri and the parliamentarian of Wouri South.

The ministers of communication and that of territorial administration has on different publications prohibited any demonstration that is not declared and approved by competent authorities.

It remains unclear if the declaration will be approved.

Note that the Cameroon Renaissance Movement Party and other political parties and groups are preparing for a landmark manifestation to chase out the 38 years regime of president Paul Biya.
