Apostle John Chi, a devoted disciple of the late Prophet TB Joshua since 1999, has shared his perspective amid recent BBC investigations portraying the deceased as a controversial figure. Disputing claims of sadism, manipulation, occultism, and rape, Apostle John Chi credits TB Joshua as a transformative mentor and father figure.

In an interview, the chairman and founder of the Ark Of God ministry spoke warmly of TB Joshua, emphasising the profound impact the late prophet had on shaping his life. “When I met Prophet TB Joshua in 1999, I did not hesitate to follow him. I want to say he is a teacher, a mentor, and a father to me. He has caused me to forget my unworthy background. He impacted my life and changed it,” shared John Chi.

From humble beginnings as a builder, John Chi detailed his journey under TB Joshua’s guidance: “He picked me from a mere builder to a prayer warrior to an evangelist. He sent me to preach in many branches in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. He later elevated me to the position of a wise man with greater responsibilities.”

Reflecting on the teachings received, John Chi continued, “As a teacher, he taught us how to have an extraordinary relationship with God. He taught us how to be kind, how to love, to forgive, and to be humble. I have learned so much from TB Joshua.”

This testimonial from John Chi stands in contrast to the allegations presented by the BBC, which, after nearly two decades of investigation, painted a different picture of TB Joshua’s life. The British media outlet reported claims from various victims accusing the late prophet of sadistic behaviour, manipulation, occult practices, and instances of sexual assault, including rape and forced abortions.

Despite the shocking revelations, John Chi and other disciples continue to hold TB Joshua in high regard. “Few days before he passed away, he called me and my wife and asked us to remain steadfast in the Lord. The memories last forever. I want to thank God for his life well spent. Prophet TB Joshua’s legacy lives on,” expressed John Chi.

As the BBC promises a third part to its investigative series, the world awaits further revelations about the late globally recognised man of God, TB Joshua.
