Archbishop Samuel Kleda Warns Public About Circulation of Fake COVID-19 Treatment

The archbishop of the metropolitan diocese of Douala has distanced himself from pictures of bottles of a drug called “KLEDAVID” circulating on the social media.

Archbishop Samuel Kleda says the drug is not from him but has been produced by fraudsters to extort money from people suffering from coronavirus and possibly soil his name in the process.

According to the prelate “…I have not given a name to the coronavirus drug I produced. I will do so during an official presentation to the world. What is circulating on the social media I call it Kledavid poison from fraudsters”.

The prelate cautions the public not to fall victim to those who want to make gain by producing the fake.
According to Augustine Wendom, journalist at Veritas radio and Television (Catholic Media group) “The enemies of the church are purposely trying to circulate this poisonous substance and when it will cause harm they will attribute it to the archbishop’s product. The product is fake so denounce in all terms”.

At the moment, the prelate says the original drug is distributed free of charge to COVID 19 patients in Catholic hospitals in Douala.
