For the next one month, the interurban transport agency Avenir Voyages will not be permitted to ply roads in the country.
In a press release by Transport Minister Jean Ernest Ngalle Bibehe, the agency is suspended for failure to comply with the regulations that led to a road accident at Ndikinimiki on Sunday.
The minister’s release adds that other sanctions could follow after ongoing investigations.
Sunday’s accident left dozens dead and others injured, one of many others across the country.
The move comes after a visit to the scene and victims in hospital by state officials as well as multiple calls for the government to sanction those responsible for the accident.
