Back-to-School: Boyo SDO woos population to ensure hitch-free resumption

The Senior Divisional Officer, SDO, for Boyo Division, North West region of Cameroon, Tagni Fidel has called on the entire population to ensure that children within the division return to school this academic year without any problem.

He made the call recently in Fundong, chief town of the Boyo Division as he chaired a Back-to-School preparatory meeting bringing together all education stakeholders of the division.

The preparatory meeting had as objective to take stock of last academic year, evaluate the results of end-of-course examinations in the division and prepare the mentality of the stakeholders towards a hitch-free back-to-school.

“We examined the results obtained from official exams in this Division and it was satisfactory. We call on all the sons and daughters of Boyo to concentrate their energy on a hitch-free back to school”, SDO Tagni Fidel said.

As the 2021/2022 academic year is set to resume on September 6, 2022, the SDO said, no one should be left behind and that everyone should send their children to school.

During the 2020/2021 academic year, Boyo Division had close to 500 students who went to school.

As this academic year looms around the corner, there have been greater voices in favour of effective school resumption to give a chance to children, thirsty for education.
