Bafoussam: Student Stabs Classmate in a Fight

Violence within the school milieu in Cameroon seems to be growing with yet another student having stabbed his classmate at the Martin Luther King College in Bafoussam, West Region.

Paradoxically for the victim, he had intervened in a fight between his two other classmates to separate them. Having not appreciated the gesture, he was violently attacked by one of the students whom he had separated from the fight.

The student stabbed him in the back and then fled as fast as he could. The victim lost some blood but was rushed to the hospital in time for the doctors to save his life.

The culprit of the malicious act was eventually caught by a group of motorbike riders and handed to the Gendarmes.

In the aftermath of the incident, it is said the school authorities called for an emergency disciplinary council. The aim was to assess all those implicated in the fight leading up to the stabbing and dish out the necessary sanctions.
