Frederick Taking, a Bamenda-based reporter has regained freedom few hours after he was kidnapped.
He was Thursday night released under unclear circumstances few hours after his abduction.
The Equinoxe reporter was picked up by men believed to be separatist fighters.
He was kidnapped as he went about his daily routine.
The reporter who also corresponds for the BBC was released hours after being taken hostage.
The conditions for his release remain unknown at the moment.
Associations and unions of journalists during the period of his captivity had called for his unconditional release, criticising the interference of pressmen in line of duty by security forces and separatist fighters.
