Achombong Paul, City mayor of Bamenda has told Prime Minister Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute that if something is not done on the Bamenda-Babadjou stretch of road, then Bamenda will soon be cut off from the entire country.
The city mayor made the call on Wednesday October 6, 2021 as he welcomed the Prime Minister at the Bamenda commercial avenue grandstand. This came as the PM was attending a public meeting with the population of Bamenda on the sidelines of his four days visit to Bamenda.
Mayor Achombong Paul said with the coming of decentralization, the Prime Minister should facilitate the process so that the resources can be given to the city council to manage the project.
“Even if the money is small, we will work with our hands”, Mayor Achombong said.
