Bamenda: Transport Bus Kills One On New Road

The New Road neighborhood in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon has recorded another fatal accident — causing the life of a bike rider.

The biker called, Livisko who was transporting bags of vegetables to the Nkwen Market was knocked down and his head smashed by a bus, MMI’s reporter gathered.

The accident took place in the evening of Wednesday, January 4, 2023. It came months after a similar accident in the same area — claiming lives.

The body of the bike rider was later taken to his native Big Babanki for burial.

The New Road has recorded many deadly accidents, reason why calls have multiplied for speed brakes to be constructed on the road.
