Two robbers were apprehended and lynched to death by the population of Mile 4 Nkwen, Bamenda, North West Region for attempting to steal a taxi.
They were apprehended on the night of Friday October 14, 2022, at about 9 p.m.
According to CNA, the two robbers, armed with an M21 rifle and a magazine with 6 rounds of ammunition, attempted to rob the taxi driver of his vehicle.
“The men had attempted to steal a taxi from a driver who raised an alarm. The armed men fired their riffles but the population stepped in and successfully neutralized them,” they disclosed.
The weapons were seized by the security forces who arrived the scene later on, after being alerted by the population.
