Bamenda: Unidentified corpse dumped in Mankon for days

The corpse of an unidentified young man is reportedly laying at Ntagien Quarter near BHS Mankon in Bamenda, Northwest Region of Cameroon.

Residents say the corpse has been laying there since Saturday April 8, 2023.

The circumstances his death is sketchy but MMI gathered the corpse was found there shortly after a night of intense gun firing.

“The people of Ntagien quarter Mankon woke up on Saturday seeing the corpse of an unidentified young man below BHS Mankon. The body has been there since Saturday morning after gunshots were fire same day at around 2:00 AM.”

There has been no reaction from local administrative authorities.

The rate of killings have multiplied in Bamenda over the years since the Anglophone crisis morphed into an armed conflict.
