Christians of the Cameroon Baptist Convention, CBC, Church in Nkambe, Donga Mantung Division of the North West Region today Sunday, April 10, 2023, are celebrating ‘Easter Sunday’ on the streets.
On Sunday morning, they began their worship service from the mountains before converging at the Nkambe Fon’s palace plaza for biblical reflections, one of them told MMI.
“Baptist Christians of Nkambe town got up this morning and began their worship services from different mountains to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ which led him to meet with his disciples at Mount Olives where he ascended to heaven after addressing them,” said a faithful.
“The churches assembled around the palace plaza from the mountains where the gospel was preached to the population of Nkambe,” he added.
Easter Sunday in the Christian calender marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ, three days after his death by crucifixion.
The ritual in Nkambe was marked by mass evangelism as the Christians left the mountains dancing through the different streets.
