BEAC appoints Cameroonian as Central Director



The Bank of Central African States, (BEAC) has appointed Ikori à Yombo Joseph, Cameroonian finance expert to the post of Central Director.

His appointment came about following decision No 245/GR/2022 of June 23, 2022, alongside the appointment of three other executives of the bank.


The three executives appointed include Chumo Mata from Equatorial Guinea, Mangouka Franck Mpoba and Mounkala Evrard Ulrich from Congo.

Yombo Joseph obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Science, Accounting, and Financial techniques, after acquiring his baccalaureate in the year 1988.

He began his career at the Banking Commission of Central Bank (COBAC), as an inspector in 1999.


Prior to his appointment as Director of BEAC, he served as governor’s adviser and coordinator and has been in charge of the study unit of transfers and monitoring of exchange regulations since 2018.
