“Biafran People must remain steadfast in their quest for self preservation and actualisation of their nation” – Ayaba Cho Lucas

The diaspora Ambazonian leader has extended his sympathy to the Indigenous People of Biafra following the announcement of the arrest of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

With the IPOB leader now in the hands of the Nigerian Government, Ayaba Cho Lucas has urged Biafrans in Nigeria and around the world to now more than ever before mobilise themselves into a unit and stand for their self determination and against the brutal and repressive Federal regime of Nigeria.

“The Biafran People must remain steadfast in their quest for self preservation and actualisation of their nation. They must know that genocide before did not destroy the dream. Political asphyxiation did not kill the hopes of million of Biafrans to exist as a free people,” he stated.

Though he is equally still expected go give an official statement on the arrest of the IPOB leader, he has not held back in criticising the Nigerian Government, by pointing out that they are building a legacy of kidnapping and rendition, popularly also referring to how Ayuk Sisiku Tabe and co were illegally arrested and extradited go Cameroon.

Also reacting to the arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Deputy Defense Chief of the Ambazonian Defence Forces says his arrest will have similar effects as that of Sisiku Ayuk Tabe. According to the ADF chief, Nnamdi Kanu’s leadership was one who was against using radical means to achieve the purpose of the Biafran people, just like was Sisiku Ayuk Tabe.

His arrest therefore, according to him, will reduce the chances of dialogue between the Nigerian Government and the Biafran leadership, given that Nnamdi Kanu won’t dialogue from captivity, and any other upcoming leaders would be more reserved and wary of the threats of getting into contact with the unreliable Federal Government of Nigeria.
