Boko Haram Attack Leaves Two Dead In Kerawa

Two persons have been killed and several others injured following an attack of the Boko Haram terrorists sect in the Far North Region of Cameroon.
The attack took place an hour ago in a locality known as Kerawa in the Mayo Sava Division of the region.

The attackers targeted farmers who braved reigning insecurity in the area to cultivate farm lands that have been abandoned for over three years. Two persons – the village traditional head and a woman – were shot dead and others severely injured.
An elite unit of the Cameroonian defense and security forces the BIR arrived some one hour thirty minutes after the attackers had left.

Attacks from Boko Haram have increased in the region recently, with both civilians and soldiers paying a heavy price.

On Sunday, Boko Haram militants launched a twin attack in Golbido in the Mayo Sava and Chebechebe in the Mayo Tsanaga, taking away an important stock of weaponry belonging to the Cameroonian army, and leaving two persons dead.
