Boko Haram attacks in Cameroon
Eight fishermen have been killed by Boko Haram terrorists in Darak, a village in the Far North region of Cameroon.
According to the Mutations newspaper, the deadly Boko Haram raid left more than half a dozen dead.
“The terrorists arrived at night and targeted the villagers who were busy fishing. They slit their throats before fleeing,” reported the Cameroon news outlet.
Barak has been a target of Boko Haram attackers for several years today. In 2020, six fishermen were killed by elements of Boko Haram, on an island in Lake Chad.
“Wednesday evening, we found the bodies of six fishermen floating on the water at Karakaya Island located in the canton of Darak,” indicated, the president of the fishermen of Darak.
