The deadly terrorist group has once again carried out an attack in the localities of Mora and Waza in the Far North Region, leaving at least three persons dead.
Despite the supposed redeployment of military forces to the region to combat the terrorist group, they still however constitute a considerable nuisance to the people of the region, launching deadly attacks one after the other.
So was the case of Mora and Waza recently that again costed the lives of three citizens in these separate attacks.
According to a report by L’oeil du Sahel, one of the victims of the terrorist attack, Mahama Talla, 18 was shot dead in front of his home in the Guirbala district on the night of March 10, 2021. Another body (Ali Kangado) was subsequently found the very next day, March 11 in the Blassaley village at about 1pm. He was also believed to have been killed by the terrorists during their raid.
The second attack occurred on the section of the national road Number 1, between Waza and Mora, still in the Far North Region.
Another body belonging to Douclaire was found by soldiers around a place called “Maison Blanche”, approximately 6km from Waza. It is said that Douclaire who is a truck driver was attacked while he was with another driver on the road. His other friend was shot and wounded by the terrorists but managed to escape grave consequences after the intervention of the military.
Such attacks on the people of the Far North Region by the Boko Haram Terrorists are unlikely to stop any time soon. In fact, they have multiplied in recent times, and the inhabitants of this region have often cried out for the lack of security, often depending on the services of poorly armed vigilante members, who often than not are outnumbered by these assailants.
