Bouncer killed by separatists to be buried in West Region

The mortal remains of DUDU, a “bouncer” at Binam snack bar in Bamenda, who was killed last Wednesday 15 September 2021, has been transferred from the Bamenda regional hospital mortuary to the Bafoussam Mortuary.

The family requested for the corpse to be taken to Bafoussam, closer to his village.

There were a lot of controversies before the corpse could be given to the family for departure to the West region.

The mortuary authorities had confiscated the corpse for nonpayment of mortuary bills. The family had demanded that the owner of the snack bar where the deceased worked take charge of the bills.

The owner of the bar rejected the demand, explaining that he had spent a lot from the day the deceased was taken by gunmen.

A source close to the bar owner has disclosed that he had paid a ransom of over 1.5 million just to secure the release of the deceased to no avail. Unfortunately, he was killed.

The deceased family had no choice but to pay the mortuary bill before taking the corpse to the West region of Cameroon.

Dudu was taken last August 2021 from Binam snack bar at Mobile Nkwen, after gunmen stormed the bar in search of the bar owner. Failing to take the bar owner, he was taken.

He was killed and dropped at Mbessi junction in Bamenda 3 subdivision on September 15th, 2021, and a placard with the inscription ” blackleg” was placed on the corpse. His killing came after spending a month in captivity.

He will be buried this weekend in the West region.
