The National Syndicate of Cameroon Journalists, CJTU has announced the disappearance of renowned journalist, Frederick Takang.
Frederick Takang who works for BBC and Equinoxe Radio was abducted on May 26, 2022.
The North West Chapter of CJTU issued a statement saying:
“Information reaching the North West Chapter of the Cameroon Journalists’ Trade Union (CJTU) indicate that one of her members Frederick Takang has been abducted in Bamenda. The Correspondent for the BBC World World Service was abducted this Thursday 26 May 2022 in the early hours of the evening and taken to an unknown destination together with his silver Camry car…”
The statement did not mention how and who abducted the reporter.
