Barrister Tamfu Richard dismissed from the CRM
Barrister Richard Tamfu has been dismissed indefinitely from the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM) party a few days after depositing his candidacy for president of the party.
He has been expelled alongside Armand Noutack, deputy of Tanfu to the post of official in charge of the direction dedicated to the Reform of the institutions within the CRM.
Barrister Richard Tamfu is accused of “… refusal to conform to the political line and to the discipline of the party”.
The decision was signed on Tuesday, August 1 by the members of the National Mediation and Arbitration Committee (CNMA), excluding Okala Ebode Thierry, and then approved by the National President of the CRM, Maurice Kamto.
On June 11, the CNMA filed a complaint against the lawyer, accusing him of carrying out “anti-party activities, a serious breach of the duty of loyalty and violation of the secrecy of deliberation”.
Summoned for a hearing at the party’s headquarters on July 2, the person concerned notified his unavailability by a WhatsApp message on June 25, believing that his response to the complaint filed against him is sufficient.
Barrister Michele Ndoki, who coveted the same position, was also expelled from the party on July 13, 2023.
