Cameroon Takes Home Three More Medals at the Francophonie Games.

Kinshasa, DRC – Cameroon continues its impressive run at the Francophonie on Tuesday, winning three more medals.

In the shot put, Norrah Lemongo Nkoulou won the gold medal with a throw of 14:99 meters. The silver medal went to his compatriot Monie Nora Atim, who threw 14:73 meters. The bronze medal went to Canada’s Brittany COLSON, who threw 14:54 meters.

In the men’s freestyle category, Cédric Abossolo won gold in the -92 kg category. Abossolo defeated Algeria’s Abderrahmane DJERMANE in the final. The bronze medal went to Canada’s William LEFEBVRE.

With these three medals, Cameroon’s total medal count now stands at 12, including four gold medals. They are currently in second place in the medal standings, behind only Canada.

The Games of La Francophonie is a multi-sport event that brings together athletes from countries where French is spoken. The 9th edition of the Games is being held in Kinshasa, DRC, from July 28 to August 6.
