A female victim of the Mount Cameroon Race explosions in Buea died at the Regional Hospital this morning, a source has confirmed to MMI.

She was severely injured alongside her three children, as they stood by the door watching the race on Saturday morning.

The woman who is said to have hailed from Nwa in the Northwest Region, was among the people severely injured in the triple explosions that injured 20 people during the 50th edition of the Mount Cameroon Race.

Her three children, including a one year old who were also injured are still at the hospital taking treatment.

Reports say the family stood in front of the house watching the race when one of the explosions blasted very closely, injuring them.

Media sources reported on Monday that most of the explosion victims were out of danger and had been discharged from the hospital.
