Petra Nji Ndiambu, a university student in Buea, died on Monday, Jan. 11, following a motor accident along the Tiko-Douala road, just five days to her wedding.
Her fiance, Forsack Isbias, who was on the same vehicle, survived the incident alongside his brother with whom they were traveling. The groom to-be is under intensive medical care, MMI has learned.
Reports say would-be couple was journeying to Douala to shop for their upcoming wedding ceremony scheduled for Jan. 16 at Presbyterian Church, Molyko, Buea.
Forsack Isbias and his brother were reported rushed to the hospital while his fiancee’s corpse was taken to the Buea Regional Hospital morgue.
Reports say the girl’s family, especially her mother he mother is inconsolable after passing out several times, seeing her first daughter die abruptly.
Although the cause of the accident has not yet been established, reports say the private vehicle tumbled on the road severally.
