Buea Floods: Deceased victim laid to rest

One of the victims of the severe floods which hit Buea on Saturday, March 18, 2023 has been buried.

The 10-year-old girl known as Irene was laid to rest on Monday, March 20, 2023.

Her corpse was buried at the Buea Town Catholic Cemetery, in an emotional ceremony.

Many speculate that some of corpses are still trapped in the debris as several persons are still missing days after the floods.

Cameroon’s Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji was in Buea on Tuesday to comfort and assist the victims with gifts from President Paul Biya.
