Buea: Former Separatist fighter tortured at DDR centre for snitching

Members of the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) centre in Buea have inflicted pains on one of theirs, accusing him of lies telling, selfishness and violence instigation.

Clovis a Former Ambazonian combatant was severely beaten on Monday December 12, 2022.

Other DDR members accused Clovis of plotting their downfall, calling for their arrest for theft.

Ever since Clovis surrendered from being an Ambazonian, he has been identifying other Separatists fighters and exposing their secrets on live videos including their families, relatives and friends regardless of their gender and the psychological impact it might have on them.

Clovis has also been posting pictures of children, women, and family members of separatists on his social media platforms, calling for their arrests.

He had been working with some unscrupulous individuals abroad, especially in the UK, under the quote name: ‘operation sunshine’ to target innocent Cameroonians — some who are not linked to the Ambazonian struggle. Most of these individuals are then rounded up by the military, some are in jail, while others are killed.

Yesterday’s dispute was also meant to remind Clovis that his love for Cameroon is not more than that of his peers.
“We all dropped our arms for the peace of our country, all of us love one Cameroon that is why we dropped our weapons,” they warned.

Clovis decamped years back, and has since then, described the pro-independence struggle as a sham.

Separatists have been fighting for an independent state called ‘Ambazonia’ since 2016. The armed conflict has claimed thousands of lives and displaced of one million people within and out of Cameroon.
