Buea: Two-Year-Old Boy Dies After Swallowing Hard Object

A boy has died in the Street Two area of the Dirty South neighborhood, Molyko after reportedly getting into a convulsion.

The boy who is said to be barely two years of age, died yesterday December 20, 2021, after he was rushed to a nearby Access Care Clinic in the same neighborhood.

He was first taken to a local pharmacist, who tried to revive him to no avail. When the situation got out of control, the family resolved to rush to the hospital.

Before he was declared dead by the medical experts, his family was informed that the deceased had earlier swallowed a hard object, believed to be what claimed his life.

With the agony of losing a child, the family is said to have doubted the death declaration of the experts at The Access Care Clinic. They took the boy to the General Hospital, where a similar declaration was made.

As of now, the family has made their way to the village for burial the same day, after having confirmed the boy’s death.

The unfortunate incident has got many parents and guardians worried. This, some say, is as children lack the will power and are exposed to things, most of which go into their systems.
