Bui division:
Soldiers Raid Noni Village, Arrest, Execute Suspects

Soldiers on a military campaign against Amba fighters are said to have raided Din Village in Noni subdivision, arrested suspected Amba fighters and later execute them.

Reports hold that, the soldiers stormed Din in search of a notorious Amba fighter called Clovis.

The uniformed men are said to have missed their target and later resorted to arresting other persons whom they later killed in Kumbo.

“They were in search of am Ambazonian fighter named Clovis, “ a local said, adding that, “unable to get him, “they arrested other suspects, beat them up and took some with them to Kumbo.”

While in Kumbo, the capital town of the Bui Division, the soldiers, the same source stated that the soldiers “ went on to kill those they took with them. They took two to Kumbo and later shot them dead”.

This is not the first time a similar incident in happening in Din.

Sometime last year, soldiers raided the village and set houses ablaze. A few old persons who could not escape were roasted to death while others were shot and killed.

No one has been held accountable till today. Many of similar occurrences too have been the norm in Cameroon’s Anglophone regions since the crisis in the regions evolved into a full scale conflict.

Over three thousand are believed to have been killed, as government and separatists fail to come to consensus.
