Rev. Father Sergius who was kidnapped a couple of days back by separatist fighters has been released.
He was freed yesterday September 30, 2022 by the Bui Unity Warriors.
Rev. Father Sergius was abducted and tortured for allegedly having a hand in the dissappearance of ‘General’ Fire from the Banso Baptist Hospital in Kumbo, North West Region of Cameroon.
The circumstances behind the release of the priest is not known by MMI for the moment.
His abduction had sparked widespread condemnation from the church and human rights bodies.
