Cabril Libii Condemns Psychological Torture Meted on Party Militants

The presidential candidate for the Univers Party, Cabral Libii, has condemned the psychological torture meted on some of his party militants.

In a press release issued this Saturday September 29, 2018, the presidential hopeful decried the manner with which 40 of his militants were treated in the Far North Region, all because they cross-carpeted the CPDM party and joined his.

“We hereby draw the attention of the national and international observers on a lamentable incident that involved 40 of our militants. 40 of our militants in Waza, Logone and Chari Division of the Far North Region, were summoned and detained at the Gendarmerie for several hours, Friday September 28, 2018.

“Their only crime was that they cross-carpeted another party and joined ours. The same bullying maneuver continue to intensify in the boroughs of Blangoua and Makari.

“I use this medium to condemn the actions and call on investigations to be carried out,” Cabral Libii said in the communiqué.

Though Mimi Mefo Info cannot independently very the authenticity of the claims, it is however important to note that such crimes have consequences as stipulated in the electoral code.
