Camair-Co passengers stranded in Garoua

Over twenty passengers of the Cameroon Airline Corperation (Camair-Co) have spent the night at the departure hall of Garoua Airport in the North Region of Cameroon.

The passengers after paying their tickets for Sunday January 19, 2020 10:30 pm flight from Garoua to Douala were replaced by other passengers.

Collins Dike, one of the disgruntled passengers says ” …after all the necessary checks before departure, an official of Camair-Co came to us and said we should wait for him to resolve an issue. He left us at the departure hall and subsequently they switched off the lights where over twenty of us were sitting. Then the plane left for Douala.”

To the disgruntled passengers, as at 9:00 a.m. Monday January 20, Camair-Co has not addressed them to explain what happened and possibly reschedule their flight.

“We are just stranded now not knowing when we will leave Garoua for Douala in the Littoral Region,” one of the disgruntled passengers laments.

Some of the passengers say they paid a round trip to the tune of FCFA 218,140 from Douala to Garoua and back to Douala.

Camair-Co has not issued any official statement concerning the incident.
