There is a high possibility that the Cameroonian goalkeeper, Andre Onana will be returning to the Cameroonian National Football team.
In a document supposedly from the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) signed by its secretary general, Njounang Blaise, a request is made to the Ministry of External Relations to facilitate the issuance of entry visas to the US for some players including Onana.
According to the document, the request is in the prelude to a friendly football match to be organized in preparation for the upcoming 2024 African Cup of Nations to take place in Ivory Coast.
During the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Onana, who currently plays professionally with Inter Milian in Italy was suspended from the national team at the behest of the Indomitable Lions’ coach Rigobert Song for ‘indiscipline’.
It should equally be recalled that on April 9, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi wrote to the president of Inter Milan, club of André Onana to request that he be released if Cameroon requested it.
