Cameroon confirms decrease in Covid-19 cases

The government of Cameroon has acknowledged a decrease in the number of deaths and people tested positive. This, it says, has been noticed of in the past three weeks.

Dr. Manaouda Malachie, minister of Public Health in a cabinet’ meeting Thursday April 29th 2021in Yaounde said “We have Vaccinated more than eleven thousand Cameroonians with many still willing to take the Vaccine. We have noticed a decrease in the number of people infected. It’s a good thing”.

Despite this, the minister reiterated the importance of respecting COVID-19 preventive measures while encouraging voluntary testing and vaccination.

In an interview granted state television, Wednesday April 28th, Dr. Eric Tandi, expert in the ministry of public health stated that those taking the SINOPHARM COVID-19 Vaccine should take a second dose after 21 days while those talking Astrazeneca should go for a second dose after 28 days.
