Separatist fighters in Njinikom, North West Region of Cameroon had a fierce confrontation with gendarmerie elements at a locality called Wombong. Gendarmes stormed the area in a routine patrol mission. Locals say despite heavy exchange of gunshots, no casualty has been reported.



Residents of Bamenda, capital city of the North West Region of Cameroon who received the first dose of the AstraZeneca are stranded as the vaccine has gone out of stock. Thousands who took the vaccine are worried as the donot know when the second dose would be administered.



Six drivers from Belo Subdivision, North West Region of Cameroon have clocked a year in pretrial detention in Bamenda. They were arrested one year ago in Bamenda, accused of transporting weapons and ammunition to assist separatist fighters active in the areas. They denied any wrongdoing.



The Delegate General for National Security has called on Cameroonians to visit their various ID card and passport production points for collection. Thousands of cards and passports are said to have been abandoned by citizens after production.



The University of Buea has set September 25th as deadline for postgraduate registration for the new academic year. Interested candidates are expected to check up on available programs on the institution’s website.



The management of Hi TV in Buea says it is investigating sexual harassment allegations made against one of its staff. This comes after a panelist declared in a live programme on the same media platform that a senior level staff had been harassing female interns.

Sports reporters and livers have raised concerns after the Confederation of African Football, CAF said the Lions’ game would be played void of spectators. Many say the move is fishy, as even the press would not be permitted to enter the stadium.
