Jerome Neba, a Bamenda-based journalist has regained his freedom after he was detained by the police today. He was released on bail after colleagues visited the detention facility pressing for his immediate release.


Some 25 journalists in Yaounde are partaking in a workshop on conflict sensitive reporting under the theme ‘catalysing media for peace and justice’. Hosted by the #defyhatenow program, the aim is to arm them with skills to fine tune their reporting for peace and communication for development.


Allegations of marks trading for money at the University of Buea have led to an investigation opened by the University authorities. Two suspected highway robbers were arrested last week along the Toctoyo-Ndere road in the East region by forces of law and order. Weapons used in surrendering their victims were also seized from them not far from their operating point.
