Cameroon goalkeeper, Andre Onana suspended from the Lions’ starting eleven

The Indomitable Lions’ goalkeeper, André Onana has been dismissed from the team’s squad for alleged indiscipline.

News of his dismissal made national headlines on Monday morning as the team prepares to face Serbia, their second opponent in the group stages.

It is not clear why Onana was sanctioned as the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT had not issued an official statement.

Second choice goalkeeper, Devis Epassy will take André Onana’s in the match against Serbia.

Pundits and sports lovers have criticised the move, saying it will only penalise the national team which is yet to acquire a point at the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.

This is a developing story!
