Cameroon government acquires land in Equatorial Guinea for school construction

Cameroon’s Ministry of External Relations has this day made public a move which it says will strengthen co-operation ties between Cameroon and its southern neighbor, Equatorial Guinea.

The External Relations Ministry reveals that Cameroon has completed the acquisition of approximately 10,000 square meters of land in the Equato-Guinean capital, Malabo, where it intends to construct a school that will operate fully under the Cameroonian educational system.

The signing ceremony of the purchase was completed at the Cameroonian Embassy in Equatorial Guinea between Cameroonian Diplomat, the Ambassador, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cameroon to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, H.E Desiré Jean Claude Owono who acted as the buyer, and Antonio Mpouopda Foche, CEO of the EMFEBI Fifty fifty company, acting as the seller.

According to the text announcing the deal on the Facebook page of the External Relations Ministry, Cameroon’s much envied Educational sector will get the opportunity to be promoted in Equatorial Guinea, all to the benefit of Cameroonians living there and also to the Equato-Guineans.

The Cameroon Comprehensive School of Equatorial Guinea will therefore enable young people of various nationalities to be trained according to the Cameroon educational system.
