Cameroon: Health Minister intensifies calls for reinforcement of COVID-19 barrier measures

Cameroon’s Health Minister, Dr. Manaouda Malachie has called for the reinforcement of Covid-19 barrier measures in the country.

The information is contained in a release signed on December 28.

According to the Minister, the reinforcement is a result of, “… the significant upsurge in Covid-19 cases and deaths in the Republic of China, in certain European countries and the expected intensification of population movements during the end-of-year break.”

In this light, Dr. Manaouda Malachie has called on the Systematic Covid-19 screening for all persons who present themselves in hospitals as patients, reinforcement of vaccinations, and intensification of the respect of Covid-19 barrier measures.

He has equally called on all public health delegates, to ensure the effective implementation of the above-mentioned instructions.
