Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions today beat the Flames of Malawi one goal without reply after a tough game.
The match which played at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium was the first win for Cameroon’s new head coach Clarence Seedorf after he had a 1-1 draw against the Comoros in the Lions last outing.
The goal by one of Cameroons finest midfielder, marksman Eric-Maxim Chipou Moting placed Cameroon at 7 points followed by Morocco, Malawi and Comoros in group B of the 2019 AFCON Qualifier. A return leg will be played in Malawi.
Cameroon’s encounter with Malawi today is the 8th, with today’s win for the Indomitable Lions making it 4 wins, 3 draws and 1 win for Malawi.
Before today’s game, coach Seedorf said today’s win is to draw back fans and supporters for the National team.
The Cameroon national team has been described by many as unpredictable as the weather since victory by the Lions can only be surprising hence scaring fans.
But has today’s victory brought back the hug supporters the Cameroon men’s national football team once had?
