Cameroon ranks low again in Doing Business index

Cameroon has scored 46.1 points on 100 on the world bank Doing Business classification table for the year 2020.

Following the publication,Cameroon comes the 167th out of 190 countries used in the ranking.

New Zealand,Singapore and (Hong Kong SAR and China) occupies the first three positions respectively.

The country has gained 10 points as compared to the previous publication.Despite this,2020 classification shows that Cameroon registers extremely poor in aspects like starting a business,dealing with construction permit, protecting minority investors,enforcing contracts,paying taxes amongst others.

167th position in the world,Cameroon is the 26th African country on the doing business classification table.Rwanda ranks 38th position in the world is the first in Africa followed by Morocco and Kenya comes the third position.

In the central Africa sub region,Cameroon comes the first position.

The classification some economists says still presents how it’s still difficult to invest in Cameroon.
