Cameroon: Robbers in Yaoundé cause woman’s death in attempt to snatch her valuables

A woman has lost her life after armed men attempted to rob her onboard a motorcycle in Yaounde, Centre region of Cameroon.

The tragic scenario took place on May 1, 2023, in the Santa Barbara neighborhood. The woman was said to be on board a bike when the robbers, equally on another bike, attempted to seize her bag.

“While trying to flee from the robbers, the woman’s bike ended up under the wheels of a heavy-duty truck,” revealed a source.

The woman was confirmed dead on the spot while the bike rider sustained serious injuries.

There has been no confirmation from the authorities yet if the perpetrators of the crime have been apprehended.

Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon has in the past few months, become very dangerous as the rate of insecurity has skyrocketed.
