A violent thunderstorm that accompanied heavy downpours on Saturday night caused the death of four people and left one injured in Lagdo, North Region of Cameroon.
The storm also destroyed many school buildings and houses when it stroke the town in the night of Saturday, April 8.
The storm ravaged the roofs of several buildings, including those of Government Bilingual High School Lagdo, and an Islamic Primary School.
Several computer equipment got damaged as a result of fallen bricks and roof materials at GBHS Lagdo.
The storm uprooted trees that smashed several houses and blocked roads in the town.
The Senior Divisional Officer of Benoue Division, Oumarou Haman Wabi, offered Government’s condolences to families of the deceased victims as he toured the affected areas on Sunday.
