He adds that “… unfortunately on their way, they had an accident along the road and the bike fell. At that point, Dr. Keafon attempted to run. It’s then that the boys shot him and he died”.

Another inhabitant of Mbefi quarter confirms allegations that his kidnappers and murderers were separatist fighters “… Those boys killed him. This needs to be condemned” he says.

Following the killing, no group or individual has claimed responsibility. Sources however believe separatist fighters are to blame.

Dr. Keafon Luciano Sunjo was the regional pedagogic inspector for the west region of Cameroon . He is reported to have travelled to Bamenda to visit his family when he was killed.

The killing of Dr. Keafon comes few hours after women, men and children Marched through the streets of Bamenda calling for an end to violence, chaos and killings.

With the continous killings, people are calling for a real dialogue that will bring the real actors on the table for discussion.
