On visit to Kumba: Woman interrupts Atanga Nji, says Biya regime must go or else…

According to the woman, whose name we got as Sister Mary, she has been instructed by God “to tell Mr Biya and his Minister to step down from the throne. If they do not step down from the throne, Papa God will start from the Presidency and kill without mercy.”

After interrupting Territorial Administration Minister Paul Atanga Nji during his condolence speech in Kumba, the Christian woman said it is God’s time for the Biya regime to renounce power.
The woman interrupted Atanga Nji at a time when the Minister was quoting Biblical chapters to back up his view that the long-serving regime of President Paul Biya is ordained by God.

The woman immediately seized the floor while Minister Atanga Nji was still speaking, declaring thus: “Nobody can fight God… You can stand in the midst of everybody, you can stand in the midst of anyone and say anything but I want to make you know that there is a God in Heaven that watches everybody.”

Speaking to the press afterwards, the woman seemed to be directly affected by the recent killing of seven children in Kumba last Saturday.

One of the children, by name Victory, was the only son of the Pastor of a Church the woman attends.

“So today, I’m asking the Minister, I’m asking the President, I’m asking delegates and all the Commissioners: where do they put their trust? Do they trust God or man? They have failed the government, the government has failed, every body has failed and now let them allow the Church to take control,” she said.

The woman said since the government has failed and people have been rendered helpless by the raging armed conflict, it is time for people to turn to God who has solution to all problems.

“I want to say shame on the government, shame on the Ministers, shame on the President… All of us have failed and now let us look up to God: He is the author, He is the finisher of everything. When we depend on him, the victory will come,” she said.
